Go Figure

I inflated my tires and STILL ran out of gas.

Huh. I guess that means I can't trust that new "Make cookies, not war" tactic against terrorists I heard about, either. Drats. Maybe band-aids instead of bombs? Or how about we just all sit down and drink a nice glass of grape Kool-Aid together? It can make our problems
all
go
away . . .

You're not keeping up. McCain also (belatedly) endorsed the recommendation that people keep their tires properly inflated. This was recommended by Obama as ONE OF MANY methods that we can all practice conservation. Because there is so little to criticize in the man, his detractors must grasp at every perceived opportunity. We'd better start electing the smart guy, for a change.

You're a saucy little lady when your kids are in school aren'cha? heeheehee
As Sean Hanity would say... "Becky, you're a GREAT AMERICAN." :D

D,
YEE-HAW!! Wii for us all! I can't wait to see the pics! (And I think we're PERFECT, dahling. Nothing wrong with us at all.)

Dena,
I'm not convinced I'm voting for McCain yet either, so that point is moot. I am one of those we-should-drill-for-oil-because-I'm-sick-of-foreign-oil-dependence-when-we've-got-plenty-right-here gals. (You don't even wanna know what Casey spends each week to fill up his truck--and a building contractor can't haul his tools around on a bike.) And I personally don't think Obama IS the smart guy. (Actually, I think he's kinda dense--I don't care if he IS a distant relative.:)) I don't think McCain is the smart guy. I really haven't seen smart yet. That's probably why I still may write in "Ronald Reagan" come November.

Hey, I've been hankering for tennis again--me and Shan have played once--maybe we should give you a holla next time we're out??

Shan,
Thanks, dearie--you're a great American too--or are you a "sick, twisted freak" a'la Glenn Beck? :)

Sorry. As one of your few Democratic friends, I felt compelled to respond.

Tennis sounds great! L and I have been playing each Wed. for about a year; Gary has joined us the last the last few times. He's limping from working so hard to beat us (I told him he should have let some of those balls go).

Becky and Deana,
I love that you you all can 'just get along". Its a beautiful thing. I imagine your opposing political views make your tennis matches super high energy, though! As long as at the end of the day the repubs and the dems can play together after a little hot and sometimes nasty verbal banter, I think we'll be ok.

Dena,
Oh dear, I'm afraid you will be way out of my league, if you've been playing regularly. Maybe you could use me for a warm-up.

Sis,
Actually, Dena and I have a strict "no discussing politics" rule. Obviously, sometimes we can't help but break it--but we're usually pretty good about scrambling back to our corners if things get too heated. (Eh, Dena?) And Sis, I really, really enjoyed our chat today. I love you more than words can say.

WAIT...your guys from church went on a 14,000 miles (?) high trip in Colorado??? Colorado mountains MUST be bigger than Montana mountains! ;)

Kim,
Whoops--that would be 14,000 FEET. My bad. :0
